[English]

Objective: The present study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of the Comprehensive Integrated Developmental Program, based on the Developmental, Individual-Differences, Relationship-Based (DIR) model, on cognitive, emotional, and social development in toddlers.

Methods: This study employed a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest design with a control group. The statistical population included all mothers of toddlers aged 15 to 36 months in Tabriz, Iran, in 2024. From this population, 30 mothers were voluntarily selected and randomly assigned to intervention (n=15) and control (n=15) groups. The intervention group received ten sessions of training based on the Comprehensive Integrated Developmental Program, while the control group received no intervention. Research instruments included the Vineland Social Maturity Scale (VSMS) and Amin Yazdi's Cognitive and Emotional Questionnaire for Toddlers. Data were analyzed using multivariate analysis of covariance (MANCOVA) with SPSS version 26.

Results: MANCOVA results showed that, after controlling for pretest scores, the posttest mean scores of cognitive, emotional, and social development were significantly higher in the intervention group than in the control group. Significant between-group differences were observed for cognitive development (p < .05), emotional development (p < .01), and social development (p < .01).

Conclusion: The Comprehensive Integrated Developmental Program can be utilized as an effective approach for promoting holistic development in toddlers. These findings underscore the importance of evidence-based, relationship-focused interventions in supporting healthy developmental trajectories and highlight the necessity of integrating such programs into routine child and family services.
